Abstract

  • Based on Gross Domestic Product (GDP) at current prices in the first quarter of 2026, Indonesia’s economy reached IDR 6,187.2 trillion and IDR 3,447.7 trillion at constant prices (2010).
  • Indonesia’s economic grew by 5.61 percent in the first quarter of 2026, compared to the first quarter of 2025 (y-on-y). On the production side, Accommodation and Food Service Activities experienced the highest growth at 13.14 percent. Meanwhile, on the expenditure side, General Government Final Consumption Expenditure (GGFCE) experienced the highest growth at 21.81 percent.
  • Indonesia’s economy contracted by 0.77 percent in the first quarter of 2026, compared to the fourth quarter of 2025 (q-to-q). On the production side, Mining and Quarrying experienced the deepest contraction at 8.20 percent. Meanwhile, on the expenditure side, GGFCE experienced the deepest contraction at 30.13 percent.
  • In the first quarter of 2026, the group of provinces in Jawa Island dominated Indonesia’s spatial economic structure, with a contribution of 57.24 percent and recorded economic growth of 5.79 percent (y-on-y).
