Abstract

  • Based on the National Labour Force Survey (Sakernas), the total labour force in February 2025 was 153.05 million people, representing an increase of 3.67 million people compared to February 2024. Similarly, the labour force participation rate increased by 0.80 percentage points compared to February 2024. 
  • Compared to February 2024, the number of employed people in February 2025 rose by 3.59 million, to 145.77 million people. Regarding the type of industry, Wholesale and Retail Trade; Repair of Motor Vehicles and Motorcycles experienced the most significant increase in the number of employed people (0.98 million people). 
  • The unemployment rate in February 2025 was 4.76 percent, a decrease of 0.06 percentage points compared to February 2024.
  • The average wage of employees in February 2025 was 3.09 million rupiah. 
  • The average wage of employees from February 2024 to February 2025 grew by 1.78 percent, rising from 3.04 to 3.09 million rupiah.
