Abstract

  • The number of domestic air transport passengers departing in February
    2024 was 4.7 million, a decrease of 2.65 percent compared to January 2024. International air transport passengers decreased by 4.66 percent to 1.4 million. Furthermore, the freight transported by domestic air transport decreased by 3.92 percent to 51.5 thousand tons. From January to February 2024, the number of domestic air transport passengers was 9.5 million, increasing by 2.06 percent. The number of international air transport passengers was 2.9 million, which increased by 34.17 percent compared to the same period in 2023. Moreover, freight increased by 10.98 percent to 105.1 thousand tons.
  • The number of domestic sea transport passengers departing in February 2024 was recorded at 1.5 million, decreasing by 9.68 percent compared to January 2024. The freight transported by domestic sea transport decreased by 1.55 percent, turning 28.1 million tons. From January to February 2024, the number of domestic sea transport passengers reached 3.2 million and increased by 11.17 percent compared to the same period in 2023. Meanwhile, freight decreased by 0.36 percent, reaching 56.7 million tons.
  • The number of railway passengers departing in February 2024 was 31.9 million people, which decreased by 6.49 percent compared to January 2024. Furthermore, freight transported by train decreased by 9.29 percent to 5.3 million tons. The number of passengers reached 66.0 million from January to February 2024 and increased by 18.08 percent compared to the same period in 2023. Moreover, the cumulative freight transported by train rose 5.12 percent to 11.1 million tons.
