The number of international air transport passengers departing in January 2024 increased by 0.41 percent compared to December 2023

Abstract

The number of domestic air transport passengers departing in January 2024 was 4.8 million, a decrease of 13.76 percent compared to December 2023. International air transport passengers increased by 0.41 percent to 1.5 million. Meanwhile, the freight transported by domestic air transport decreased by 0.74 percent to 53.6 thousand tons.
The number of domestic sea transport passengers departing in January 2024 was recorded at 1.7 million, decreasing by 11.09 percent compared to December 2023. The freight transported by domestic sea transport decreased by 2.25 percent, turning 28.6 million tons.
The number of railway passengers departing in January 2024 was 34.1 million people, which decreased by 4.56 percent compared to December 2023. Furthermore, freight transported by train decreased by 7.37 percent to 5.8 million tons.
