Abstract


FTT is the ratio of the index of prices received by farmers (It) and the index of prices paid by farmers (Ib).
  • „ FTT is an indicator to measure the farmers’ purchasing power parity in rural areas. FTT shows the terms of trade of agricultural products with goods and services consumption and production costs.
  • In June 2023, national FTT was 110.41 or increased by 0.19 percent compared with that in May 2023. The increase in FTT was due to the increase in the index of prices received by farmers (It) at 0.42 percent, higher than the index of prices paid by farmers (Ib) rose at 0.23 percent.
  • In June 2023, Lampung Province experienced the highest increase in FTT at 2.79 percent. On the other hand, Riau Province had the highest decrease in FTT at 4.20 percent.
  • The price index of household consumption (IKRT) in June 2023 increased by 0.28 percent in Indonesia, which was due to the increase in most of the indexes of expenditure groups.
  • Nationally, Agriculture’s Terms of Trade (NTUP) was 111.11 in June 2023 or increased by 0.33 percent compared with May 2023.
  • There were 1,553 paddy sales transactions recorded in 26 provinces during June 2023. The percentage of transactions varied by the quality of the paddy, which was the dried harvested grain (GKP) 61.30 percent, dried unhusked grain (GKG) 26.27 percent, and the other quality 12.43 percent.
  • In June 2023, the average GKP price at the farmer level was Rp5,543 per kg, or decreased by 0.72 percent, and the average GKP price at the huller level was Rp5,673 per kg, or decreased by 1.04 percent compared to the price of similar quality paddy in May 2023. The average price of GKG at the farmer level was Rp6,341 per kg, or increased by 2.97 percent. Meanwhile, at the huller level was Rp6,460 per kg, or increased by 3.13 percent. The price of the other quality paddy at the farmer level was Rp5,338 per kg, or decreased by 1.21 percent. While at the huller level was Rp5,453 per kg, or decreased by 1.18 percent.
  • Compared to June 2022, the average price of paddy at the farmer level in June 2023 for GKP, GKG, and the other quality increased by 22.13 percent, 23.16 percent, and 24.97 percent, respectively. At the huller level, the average price of paddy in June 2023 for GKP, GKG, and the other quality increased by 22.01 percent, 22.62 percent, and 24.68 percent, respectively.
  • In June 2023, the survey of rice producer prices at the huller level was conducted in 31 provinces and recorded 1,128 observations from 896 milling businesses.
  • Compared to May 2023, the average price of premium quality rice at the huller level in June 2023 was Rp11,525 per kg, or decreased by 0.85 percent. The price of medium quality rice at the huller level was Rp11,080 per kg, or increased by 0.68 percent, and the average price of the other quality rice at the huller level was Rp10,315 per kg, or decreased by 1.09 percent.
  • Compared to the June 2022, the average price of rice at the huller level in June 2023 for premium, medium, and the other quality increased by 21.35 percent, 23.00 percent, and 16.58 percent, respectively.
