Abstract

In January 2023, the number of international visitor arrivals to Indonesia was 735.95 thousand, dramatically increasing by 503.34 percent compared with January 2022. In the meantime, international visitor arrivals in January 2023 decreased by 17.78 percent compared with the previous month.
The room occupancy rate of classified hotels in January 2023 was 44.86 percent, an increase of 2.43 percentage points from January 2022. Meanwhile, the room occupancy rate in January 2023 decreased by 12.04 percentage points compared with December 2022. On the other hand, the room occupancy rate of non-classified hotels in January 2023 was 22.14 percent, which increased by 2.12 percentage points from January 2022 but decreased by 4.31 percentage points from December 2022.
The average length of stay of foreign and Indonesian guests at classified hotels during January 2023 was 1.65 days, which increased by 0.05 points compared with January 2022. While compared with the previous month, the average length of stay in January 2023 increased by 0.03 points.
