In November 2022, international visitor arrivals to Indonesia reached 657.27 thousand visits and The number of international air transport passengers in November 2022 increased by 1.06 percent.

A. Tourism Progress

• In November 2022, the number of international visitor arrivals to Indonesia was 657.27 thousand, dramatically increasing by 336.50 percent compared with November 2021. In the meantime, international visitor arrivals in November 2022 decreased by 3.19 percent compared with the previous month.
• From January to November 2022, the number of international visitor arrivals to Indonesia was 4.58 million, which increased by 228.30 percent over the same period in 2021.
• The room occupancy rate of classified hotels in November 2022 was 54.41 percent, an increase of 6.58 percentage points from November 2021. Meanwhile, the room occupancy rate in November 2022 increased by 2.10 percentage points compared with October 2022. On the other hand, the room occupancy rate of non-classified hotels in November 2022 was 24.04 percent, which increased by 1.16 percentage points from November 2021 and slightly decreased by 0.37 percentage points from October 2022.
• The average length of stay of foreign and Indonesian guests at classified hotels during November 2022 was 1.70 days, which increased by 0.11 points compared with November 2021. While compared with the previous month, the average length of stay in November 2022 also increased by 0.04 points.

B. Growth of National Transport

• The number of domestic air transport passengers departing in November 2022 was 4.6 million and increased by 1.06 percent compared to October 2022. The number of international air transport passengers decreased by 5.21 percent to 934.3 thousand. From January to November 2022, the number of domestic air transport passengers was 47.3 million and increased by 81.32 percent. The number of international air transport passengers was 6.0 million and increased by 1,030.96 percent compared to the same period in 2021.
• The number of domestic sea transport passengers departing in November 2022 was recorded at 1.5 million, increasing by 0.50 percent compared to October 2022. The freight transported by domestic sea transport decreased by 0.68 percent, turning into 27.6 million tons. From January–November 2022, the number of domestic sea transport passengers reached 16.1 million and increased by 18.48 percent compared to the same period in 2021. Meanwhile, the amount of freight increased by 2.31 percent, reaching 293.7 million tons.
• The number of railway passengers departing in November 2022 was 26.9 million people, which decreased by 2.48 percent compared to October 2022. Whereas, freight transported by train decreased by 1.78 percent to 5.4 million tons. The number of passengers reached 247.3 million in January–November 2022 and increased by 86.87 percent compared to the same period in 2021. On the other hand, the cumulative amount of freight transported by train rose by 13.91 percent to 56.1 million tons.
