Abstract

  • FTT is the ratio of the index of prices received by farmers (It) and the index of prices paid by farmers (Ib).
  • FTT is an indicator to measure farmers’ purchasing power parity in rural areas. FTT shows the terms of trade of agricultural products with goods and services consumption and production costs.
  • In October 2022, the national FTT was 107.27 or increased by 0.42 percent compared with that in September 2022. The increased in FTT was due to the increase in the index of prices received by farmers (It) at 0.29 percent, while the index of prices paid by farmers (Ib) decreased at 0.13 percent.
  • In October 2022, Bengkulu Province experienced the highest increase in FTT at 3.92 percent. On the other hand, Sulawesi Utara Province had the highest decrease in FTT at 1.80 percent.
  • The price index of household consumption (IKRT) in October 2022 decreased by 0.33 percent in Indonesia, which was due to the increase in the indexes of food, beverage, and tobacco expenditure groups.
  • Nationally, Agriculture’s Terms of Trade (NTUP) was 106.76 in October 2022 or decreased by 0.10 percent compared with September 2022.
  • Dried harvested grain (GKP) price at the farmer level increased by 4.13 percent and the price of premium quality rice at huller level increased by 1.46 percent.
  • There were 1,478 paddy sales transactions recorded in 29 provinces during October 2022. The percentage of transactions varied by the quality of the paddy, which was the dried harvested grain (GKP) 61.71 percent, dried unhusked grain (GKG) 25.98 percent, and the other quality 12.31 percent.
  • In October 2022, the average GKP price at the farmer level was Rp5,354 per kg, or increased by 16.18 percent and the average GKP price at the huller level was Rp5,475 per kg, or increased by 15.89 percent compared to the price of similar quality paddy in October 2021. The average price of GKG at the farmer level was Rp5,891 per kg, or increased by 17.44 percent. Meanwhile, at the huller level was Rp6,006 per kg, or increased by 17.22 percent. The price of the other quality paddy at the farmer level was Rp4,846 per kg, or increased by 12.43 percent. While at the huller level was Rp4,951 per kg, or decreased by 11.90 percent.
  • Compared to the previous month, the average price of paddy at the farmer level in October 2022 for GKP and GKG quality increased by 4.13 percent and 1.53 percent, respectively, while the other quality paddy decreased by 1.76 percent. At the huller level, the average price of paddy in October 2022 for GKP and GKG quality increased by 4.03 percent and 1.52 percent, respectively, while the other quality paddy decreased by 1.66 percent.
  • InOctober2022,thesurveyofriceproducerpricesatthehullerlevelwasconducted in 31 provinces and recorded 1,138 observations from 894 milling businesses.
  • Compared to October 2021, the average price of premium quality rice at the huller level in October 2022 was Rp10,402 per kg, or increased by 10.08 percent. The price of medium quality rice at the huller level was Rp10,043 per kg, or increased by 11.46 percent, and the average price of the other quality rice at the huller level was Rp9,516 per kg, or increased by 10.26 percent.
  • Compared to the previous month, the average price of rice at the huller level in October 2022 for premium, medium, and the other quality increased by 1.46 percent, 2.64 percent, and 0.53 percent, respectively.
