A. Tourism Progress

• In August 2022, the number of international visitor arrivals to Indonesia at the main entry gates was 510.25 thousand, dramatically increasing by 28,727.46 percent compared with August 2021. At the same time, international visitor arrivals in August 2022 increased by 6.98 percent compared with the previous month.
• „From January to August 2022, the number of international visitor arrivals to Indonesia at the main entry gates was 1.73 million, increased by 2,028.65 percent over the same period in 2021.
• „The room occupancy rate of classified hotels in August 2022 was 47.38 percent, an increase of 22.31 percentage points from August 2021. Meanwhile, the room occupancy rate in August 2022 decreased by 2.39 percentage points compared with July 2022. On the other hand, the room occupancy rate of non-classified hotels in August 2022 was 23.69 percent, which increased by 6.87 percentage points from August 2021, but slightly decreased by 1.00 percentage points from July 2022.
• „The average length of stay of foreign and Indonesian guests at classified hotels during August 2022 was 1.66 days, increased by 0.06 percentage points compared with August 2021. While, compared with the previous month, the average length of stay in August 2022 increased 0.05 by percentage points.

B. Growth of National Transport

• The number of domestic air transport passengers departing in August 2022 was 4.3 million and decreased by 15.06 percent compared to July 2022. The number of international air transport passengers increased by 32.29 percent to 824.3 thousand. From January to August 2022, the number of domestic air transport passengers was 33.9 million and increased by 91.81 percent. The number of international air transport passengers was 3.2 million and increased by 788.81 percent compared to the same period in 2021.
• „The number of domestic sea transport passengers departing in August 2022 was recorded at 1.6 million, decreasing by 7.36 percent compared to July 2022. The freight transported by domestic sea transport increased by 5.48 percent, turning into 27.7 million tons. From January–August 2022, the number of domestic sea transport passengers reached 11.8 million and increased by 18.67 percent compared to the same period in 2021. Meanwhile, the amount of freight increased by 1.10 percent, reaching 210.2 million tons.
• „The number of railway passengers departing in August 2022 was 24.3 million people, which decreased by 5.64 percent compared to July 2022. On the contrary, freight transported by train increased 1.88 percent to 5.6 million tons. The number of passengers reached 167.2 million in January–August 2022 and increased by 77.48 percent compared to the same period in 2021. On the other hand, the cumulative amount of freight transported by train rose by 15.18 percent to 39.7 million tons.
