Abstract

In August 2022, the National Wholesale Price Index (WPI) in Indonesia fell by 0.12 percent, primarily due to the index of Agriculture Sector, which decreased by 2.56 percent.
The price change in August 2022 was contributed mainly by purebred chicken; red chilies; shallots; cayennes; coals; palm/coconut kernel cooking oils; and purebred chicken meat and purebred chicken meat with offal.
The WPI changed by 3.85 percent in the 2022 calendar year and 5.13 percent year-on-year.
The WPI of Construction Materials in August 2022 rose by 0.76 percent compared to the previous month, partly due to the increase in prices of diesel fuel, sands, asphalt, cement, and stone for construction foundation.
