Abstract

In April 2022, the National Wholesale Price Index (WPI) of Indonesia rose by 0.97 percent, primarily due to the index of Mining and Quarrying Sector, which increased by 1.44 percent.
The price change in April 2022 was contributed mainly by purebred chicken, cows, coals, palm/coconut kernel cooking oils, petrol/gasoline, and purebred chicken meat and purebred chicken meat with offal.
The WPI changed 2.48 percent in the 2022 calendar year and 4.22 percent year-on-year.
The WPI of Construction Materials in April 2022 rose by 0.66 percent compared to the previous month, partly due to the increase in prices of cement, steel reinforcement, asphalt, diesel fuel, and sands.
