Abstract

  • FTT is the ratio of index of prices received by farmers (It) and index of prices paid by farmers (Ib).
  • FTT is an indicator to measure farmers’ purchasing power parity in the rural area. FTT shows the terms of trade of agricultural products with goods and services consumption and production costs.
  • In November 2021, national FTT was 107.18 or increased by 0.49 percent compared with that in October 2021. The increase of FTT was due to the increase in index of prices received by farmers (It) at 0.84 percent higher than the increase in index of prices paid by farmers (Ib) at 0.35 percent.
  • Nationally, FTT was 104.30 in January–November 2021, with index of prices received by farmers (It) was 112.46 and index of prices paid by farmers (Ib) was 107.83.
  • In November 2021, Jambi Province experienced the highest increase of FTT at 2.72 percent. On the other hand, Papua Barat Province had the highest decrease of FTT at 0.81 percent.
  • In November 2021, the price index of household consumption (IKRT) increased by 0.39 percent in Indonesia, which was due to the increase in almost all of the indexes of expenditure groups.
  • Nationally, Agriculture’s Terms of Trade (NTUP) was 107.03 in November 2021 or increased by 0.51 percent compared with that in October 2021.
Dried harvested grain (GKP) price at the farmer level increased by 0.91 percent and the price of premium quality rice at huller level increased by 0.95 percent.
  • There were 1,522 paddy sales transactions recorded in 27 provinces during November 2021. The percentage of transactions varied by the quality of the paddy, dried harvested grain (GKP) was 63.47 percent, dried unhusked grain (GKG) was 23.65 percent, and the other quality was 12.88 percent.
  • During November 2021, the average GKP price at the farmer level was Rp4,650 per kg or increased by 0.91 percent compared to the price of similar quality paddy in the previous month. Likewise, the average GKP price at the huller level was Rp4,753 per kg or increased by 0.59 percent. The average price of GKG at the farmer level was Rp5,060 per kg or increased by 0.89 percent, meanwhile at the huller level was Rp5,172 per kg or increased by 0.94 percent. The price of the other quality paddy at the farmer level was Rp4,406 per kg or increased by 2.23 percent, while at the huller level was Rp4,491 per kg or increased by 1.51 percent.
  • Compared to November 2020, the average price of paddy at the farmer level in November 2021 declined for GKP, GKG, and the other quality paddy by 1.52 percent, 4.73 percent, and 1.07 percent, respectively. Likewise, at the huller level, the average price of paddy in November 2021 declined for GKP, GKG, and the other quality paddy by 1.30 percent, 4.92 percent, and 1.62 percent, respectively.
  • In November 2021, the survey of rice producer prices at the huller level was conducted in 31 provinces and recorded 1,175 observations from 888 milling businesses.
  • Compared to the previous month, the average price of premium quality rice at the huller level was Rp9,539 per kg or increased by 0.95 percent. The medium quality rice at the huller level was Rp9,072 per kg or increased by 0.68 percent. The average price of the other quality rice at the huller level was Rp8,711 per kg or increased by 0.93 percent.
  • Compared to November 2020, the average price of rice at the huller level for premium, medium, and the other quality fell by 1.80 percent, 3.34 percent, and 4.22 percent, respectively.
