Abstract

  • Farmer's Exchange Rate (NTP) is the ratio of the price index received by farmers (It) to the index of price paid by farmers (Ib).
  • NTP is one indicator to see the level of ability/purchasing power of farmers in rural areas. NTP also shows the terms of trade (terms of trade) of agricultural products with goods and services consumed as well as for production costs.
  • The national NTP in September 2021 was 105.68, an increase of 0.96 percent compared to the NTP in the previous month. The increase in NTP was due to the Price Index Received by Farmers (It) increased by 0.91 percent while the Price Index Paid by Farmers (Ib) decreased by 0.05 percent.
  • Nationally, the NTP from January to September 2021 is 103.71 with an It value of 111.73 while Ib is 107.73.
  • In September 2021, the NTP of Riau Province experienced the highest increase (3.35 percent) compared to the increase in the NTP of other provinces. On the other hand, the NTP of Maluku Utara Province experienced the largest decline (0.56 percent) compared to the decline in the FTT of other provinces.
  • In September 2021, there was a decrease in the Household Consumption Index (IKRT) in Indonesia by 0.14 percent due to a decrease in the index in the food, beverage and tobacco expenditure group.
  • The national Agricultural Household Business Exchange Rate (NTUP) in September 2021 was 105.58, an increase of 0.74 percent compared to the previous month's NTUP.
