Abstract

• In July 2021, General Wholesale Price Index (IHPB) rose by 0.09 percent against June 2021. The highest increase in the IHPB occurred in the Mining and Quarrying Sector by 0.73 percent.

• Some commodities that experienced price increases in July 2021 include cayenne pepper, beef, red chili, tomatoes, shallots, and frozen shrimp.

• The IHPB change in the 2021 calendar year is 1.57 percent and the year-on-year IHPB change is 2.71 percent.

• The IHPB for Building/Construction Materials in July 2021 rose by 0.36 percent compared to the previous month, partly due to the increase in commodity prices for steel roof trusses, nails, nuts and the like, roofing and the like, flat glass, building construction iron, and iron concrete.
