Abstract

  • Farmer's Exchange Rate (NTP) is the ratio of the price index received by farmers (It) to the index of price paid by farmers (Ib).
  • NTP is one indicator to see the level of ability/purchasing power of farmers in rural areas. NTP also shows the terms of trade (terms of trade) of agricultural products with goods and services consumed as well as for production costs.
  • The national NTP in June 2021 was 103.59, an increase of 0.19 percent compared to the NTP in the previous month. The increase in NTP was due to the Price Index Received by Farmers (It) increased by 0.01 percent, while the Price Index Paid by Farmers (Ib) decreased by 0.18 percent.
  • Nationally, the NTP from January to June 2021 is 103.26 with an It value of 111.13 while Ib is 107.62.
  • In June 2021, the NTP of Maluku Utara Province experienced the highest increase (3.50 percent) compared to the increase in the NTP of other provinces. In contrast, the NTP of Bengkulu Province experienced the highest decline (2.16 percent) compared to the decline in the NTP of other provinces.
  • In June 2021, there was a decrease in the Household Consumption Index (IKRT) in Indonesia by 0.35 percent due to a decrease in indexes in two expenditure groups, namely the food, beverage and tobacco group, as well as the clothing and footwear group.
  • The national Agricultural Household Business Exchange Rate (NTUP) in June 2021 was 103.88, or decreased 0.16 percent compared to the previous month's NTUP.
