Abstract

  • The percentage of poor people in September 2020 was 10.19 percent, an increase of 0.41 percentage points against March 2020 and an increase of 0.97 percentage points against September 2019.
  • The number of poor people in September 2020 was 27.55 million people, an increase of 1.13 million people in March 2020 and an increase of 2.76 million people in September 2019.
  • The percentage of urban poor people in March 2020 was 7.38 percent, increasing to 7.88 percent in September 2020. Meanwhile, the percentage of rural poor people in March 2020 was 12.82 percent, increasing to 13.20 percent in September 2020.
  • Compared to March 2020, the number of urban poor in September 2020 increased by 876.5 thousand people (from 11.16 million people in March 2020 to 12.04 million people in September 2020). Meanwhile, in the same period the number of rural poor people increased by 249.1 thousand people (from 15.26 million people in March 2020 to 15.51 million people in September 2020).
  • The Poverty Line in September 2020 was recorded at IDR 458,947, - / capita / month with a composition of the Food Poverty Line of IDR 339,004 (73.87 percent) and the Non-Food Poverty Line of IDR 119,943 13 percent).
  • In September 2020, on average, poor households in Indonesia had 4.83 household members. Thus, the average poverty line per poor household is IDR 2,216,714 / poor household / month.
