Abstract

The number of foreign tourist visits to Indonesia in October 2020 experienced a drastic decrease of 88.25 percent compared to the number of visits in October 2019. However, when compared to the previous month, September 2020, this condition actually increased by 4.57 percent.
Cumulatively (January – October 2020), the number of foreign tourists visiting Indonesia reached 3.72 million visits or decreased by 72.35 percent when compared to the number of foreign tourists visiting in the same period in 2019, which totaled 13.45 million visits.
The Room Occupancy Rate (TPK) of star-classified hotels in Indonesia in October 2020 reached an average of 37.48 percent or decreased by 19.29 points compared to the ROR for the same month in 2019 which was recorded at 56.77 percent. On the contrary, when compared to the previous month, this month's ROR has increased by 5.36 points.
The average length of stay of foreign and Indonesian guests in star-classified hotels during October 2020 was recorded at 1.62 days, a decrease of 0.18 points when compared to the situation in October 2019.
