Abstract

  • The combined three sectors Producer Price Index (PPI) (Agriculture, Mining and Quarrying, and Manufacturing Sector) in quarter III-2020 rose 0.85 percent against quarter II-2020 (q-to-q) and rose 0.34 percent against quarter III-2019 (y-on-y).
  • Agricultural Sector PPI in quarter III-2020 rose 0.36 percent against quarter II-2020 (q-to-q) and increased by 1.84 percent against quarter III-2019 (y-on-y).
  • Mining and Quarrying Sector PPI in quarter III-2020 rose 5.75 percent compared to quarter II-2020 (q-to-q) and decreased by 10.84 percent compared to quarter III-2019 (y-on-y).
  • The PPI for the Manufacturing Industry Sector in quarter III-2020 rose 0.43 percent against quarter II-2020 (q-to-q) and increased by 1.45 percent against quarter III-2019 (y-on-y).
  • The PPI of the Electricity and Gas Procurement Sector in the third quarter of 2020 rose 0.24 percent compared to the second quarter of 2020 (q-to-q) and in the third quarter of 2019 (y-on-y) rose 0.18 percent.
  • The PPI for the Water Management Sector for the third quarter of 2020 did not change when compared to the second quarter of 2020 (q-to-q) and increased by 0.57 percent against the third quarter of 2019 (y-on-y).
  • The PPI for the Passenger Transport Sector in quarter III-2020 rose 1.11 percent against quarter II-2020 (q-to-q) and in quarter III-2019 (y-on-y) decreased by 1.63 percent.
  • The PPI for the Accommodation and Food and Beverage Provision Sector for the third quarter of 2020 rose 0.10 percent against the second quarter of 2020 (q-to-q) and an increase of 0.24 percent against the third quarter of 2019 (y-on-y).
  • The PPI of the Education Services Sector in the third quarter of 2020 rose 0.29 percent against the second quarter of 2020 (q-to-q), while in the third quarter of 2019 (y-on-y) it increased by 1.04 percent.
  • The PPI for the Health Services Sector in quarter III-2020 rose 0.91 percent against quarter II-2020 (q-to-q) and increased by 1.57 percent against quarter III-2019 (y-on-y).
