Abstract

Farmer Exchange Rate (NTP) is the comparison of the price index received by farmers (It) to the price index paid by farmers (Ib).
NTP is an indicator to see the level of ability / purchasing power of farmers in rural areas. NTP also shows the terms of trade of agricultural products with goods and services consumed as well as for production costs.
The national NTP for September 2020 was 101.66, an increase of 0.99 percent compared to the NTP in the previous month. The increase in NTP was due to the Price Index Received by Farmers (It) increased by 0.98 percent, while the Price Index Paid by Farmers (Ib) decreased by 0.02 percent.
Nationally, NTP for January-September 2020 is 101.26 with an It value of 106.89 while Ib is 105.55.
In September 2020, Riau Province's NTP experienced the highest increase (3.48 percent) compared to the increase in NTP of other provinces. In contrast, the NTP of DI Yogyakarta Province experienced the largest decrease (0.67 percent) compared to the decrease in NTP of other provinces.
In September 2020 there was a decrease in the Household Consumption Index (IKRT) in Indonesia by 0.07 percent due to a decrease in the index for the food, beverage and tobacco expenditure group; as well as the information, communication and financial services group.
The national agricultural household business exchange rate (NTUP) in September 2020 was 101.74, an increase of 0.90 percent compared to NTUP in the previous month.
