Abstract

Farmer Exchange Rate (NTP) is the comparison of the price index received by farmers (It) to the price index paid by farmers (Ib).
NTP is an indicator to see the level of ability / purchasing power of farmers in rural areas. NTP also shows the terms of trade of agricultural products with goods and services consumed as well as for production costs.
The national NTP for August 2020 was 100.65, an increase of 0.56 percent over the previous month's NTP. The increase in NTP was due to the Price Index Received by Farmers (It) rose by 0.39 percent, while the Price Index Paid by Farmers (Ib) decreased by 0.17 percent.
Nationally, NTP for January-August 2020 is 101.21 with an It value of 106.84 while Ib is 105.55.
In August 2020, the Provincial NTP of Kep. Bangka Belitung experienced the highest increase (3.64 percent) compared to the increase in NTP of other provinces. On the other hand, Maluku Province's NTP experienced the largest decrease (1.21 percent) compared to the decrease in NTP of other provinces.
In August 2020 there was a decrease in the Household Consumption Index (IKRT) in Indonesia by 0.28 percent which was caused by a decrease in the index for the food, beverage and tobacco expenditure group.
The national Agricultural Household Business Exchange Rate (NTUP) in August 2020 was 100.84, an increase of 0.31 percent compared to NTUP in the previous month.
The price of Harvested Dried Unhulled Rice at the Farmers Level increased 0.61 percent and the Price of Premium Rice at the Mill increased 0.31 percent
