Abstract

  • Farmer Exchange Rate (NTP) is a comparison of the price index received by farmers (It) against the price index paid by farmers (Ib).
  • NTP is one indicator to see the level of ability / purchasing power of farmers in rural areas. NTP also shows the exchange power (terms of trade) of agricultural products with goods and services consumed as well as for production costs.
  • The national FTT for July 2020 was 100.09, up 0.49 percent compared to the previous month's FTT. The increase in NTP was due to the Farmer Received Price Index (IT) which rose by 0.47 percent, while the Farmer Paid Price Index (Ib) decreased by 0.02 percent.
  • Nationally, the January-July 2020 NTP is 101.29 with an IT value of 106.92 while Ib is 105.55.
  • In July 2020, Riau Province NTP experienced the highest increase (3.57 percent) compared to the increase in other provinces. In contrast, the NTP of the Province of Aceh experienced the greatest decline (1.23 percent) compared to the decline in other provinces.
  • In July 2020 there was a decrease in the Household Consumption Index (IKRT) in Indonesia by 0.13 percent due to the decline in the index of food, beverage and tobacco expenditure groups.
  • The national Agriculture Household Exchange (NTUP) in July 2020 was 100.53, up 0.28 percent compared to NTUP the previous month.
