Abstract

  • Farmer Exchange Rate (NTP) is a comparison of the price index received by farmers (It) against the price index paid by farmers (Ib).
  • NTP is one indicator to see the level of ability / purchasing power of farmers in rural areas. NTP also shows the exchange power (terms of trade) of agricultural products with goods and services consumed as well as for production costs.
  • The national NTP in June 2020 was 99.60, up 0.13 percent compared to the previous month's NTP. The increase in NTP was due to the Farmer Received Price Index (It) which rose by 0.23 percent, higher than the increase in the Farmer Paid Price Index (Ib) of 0.11 percent.
  • In June 2020, Jambi Province NTP experienced the biggest increase (2.63 percent) compared to the increase in other provinces. In contrast, the NTP of the Province of West Kalimantan experienced the highest decrease (2.33 percent) compared to the decline in other provinces.
  • In June 2020 there was a change in the Household Consumption Index (IKRT) in Indonesia by 0.08 percent due to an increase in nine of the eleven groups forming the household consumption index.
  • The national agricultural household exchange rate (NTUP) in June 2020 was 100.25, up 0.08 percent compared to NTUP the previous month.
