Abstract

The number of foreign tourist arrivals or tourists to Indonesia in February 2020 decreased by 28.85 percent compared to the number of visits in February 2019. In addition, when compared to January 2020, the number of foreign tourist visits in February 2020 also decreased by 30.42 percent.

Cumulatively (January-February 2020), the number of foreign tourists visiting Indonesia reached 2.16 million visits, down 11.80 percent compared to the number of foreign tourists visiting the same period in 2019, which amounted to 2.45 million visits.

Room Occupancy Rate (ROR) of star classification hotels in Indonesia in February 2020 reached an average of 49.22 percent or down 3.22 points compared to the ROR for February 2019 which was recorded at 52.44 percent. Meanwhile, when compared to the ROR for January 2020, the ROR for star classification hotels in February 2020 increased by 0.05 points.

The average length of stay of foreign and Indonesian guests at star classification hotels during February 2020 was 1.74 days, a decrease of 0.19 points compared to February 2019.
