Abstract

EXPORT :

The value of Indonesia's exports in February 2020 reached US $ 13.94 billion, an increase of 2.24 percent compared to exports in January 2020. Likewise, compared to February 2019 it increased 11.00 percent.
Non-oil and gas exports in February 2020 reached US $ 13.12 billion, up 2.38 percent compared to January 2020. Likewise compared to non-oil and gas exports in February 2019, up 14.64 percent.
Cumulatively, the value of Indonesia's exports in January-February 2020 reached US $ 27.57 billion, an increase of 4.10 percent over the same period in 2019, as well as non-oil and gas exports reached US $ 25.94 billion or an increase of 7.45 percent.
The biggest increase in non-oil and gas exports in February 2020 to January 2020 occurred in precious metals, jewelery / gems by US $ 263.9 million (44.17 percent), while the biggest decrease occurred in iron and steel by US $ 211.3 million (25.73 percent) .
By sector, non-oil exports of the processing industry from January to February 2020 rose 10.93 percent over the same period in 2019, as well as exports of agricultural products rose 15.30 percent, while exports of mining and other products fell 10.58 percent.
The largest non-oil and gas exports in February 2020 were to China at US $ 1.87 billion, followed by the United States at US $ 1.63 billion and Japan at US $ 1.14 billion, with the contribution of the three reaching 35.32 percent. While exports to the European Union (27 countries) amounted to US $ 1.10 billion.
According to the province of origin of goods, Indonesia's largest exports in January-February 2020 came from West Java with a value of US $ 4.72 billion (17.13 percent), followed by East Java at US $ 3.30 billion (11.95 percent) and East Kalimantan at US $ 2 , 51 billion (9.09 percent).

IMPORT :

The value of Indonesia's imports in February 2020 reached US $ 11.60 billion, down 18.69 percent compared to January 2020, likewise when compared to February 2019 it dropped 5.11 percent.
Non-oil and gas imports in February 2020 reached US $ 9.85 billion, down 19.77 percent compared to January 2020 and when compared to February 2019 it also dropped 7.40 percent.
Oil and gas imports in February 2020 reached US $ 1.75 billion, down 12.05 percent compared to January 2020, but when compared to February 2019 it rose 10.33 percent.
The largest decrease in non-oil and gas imports in February 2020 compared to January 2020 was the machinery and electrical equipment group of US $ 485.9 million (28.14 percent), while the largest increase was the sugar and confectionery group of US $ 214.6 million (557.40 percent).
The three biggest suppliers of non-oil and gas imported goods during January-February 2020 were placed by China with a value of US $ 5.92 billion (26.76 percent), Japan US $ 2.38 billion (10.77 percent), and Singapore US $ 1.48 billion ( 6.67 percent). Non-oil and gas imports from ASEAN were US $ 4,713.2 (21.29 percent), while from the European Union were US $ 1,965.0 million (8.88 percent).
The import value of raw / auxiliary materials and capital goods during January-February 2020 decreased compared to the same period in the previous year of 4.80 percent and 10.64 percent respectively. In contrast, the import value of consumer goods groups increased 5.28 percent.
