Abstract

• Growth in the production of large and medium manufacturing industries 2019 increased by 4.01 percent to 2018. The increase was mainly due to an increase in the production of the printing and reproducing recording media industry, which rose by 19.58 percent. While the industry that experienced the biggest production decline was the metal goods industry, not its machinery and equipment, which fell by 18.49 percent.
• Growth in the production of large and medium manufacturing industries in the fourth quarter of 2019 increased by 3.62 percent (y-to-y) against the fourth quarter of 2018. The increase was mainly due to an increase in the production of chemical industry, which rose by 18.58 percent. While the industry that experienced the biggest production decline was the metal goods industry, not its machinery and equipment, which fell by 19.78 percent.
• Growth in the production of large and medium manufacturing industries in the fourth quarter of 2019 increased by 0.09 percent (q-to-q) against the third quarter of 2019. The industry that experienced the highest increase in production was the Chemicals and Chemical Products, which rose 13.07 percent. While the industry that experienced the biggest decline was the computer industry, Electronical Products and Optic, which fell by 11.85 percent.
• Growth in the production of large and medium manufacturing industries in the fourth quarter of 2019 (y-on-y) at the provincial level that experienced the highest growth was North Maluku, which rose by 41.84 percent. While the province that experienced a decline in growth was Jambi, which fell 35.58 percent.
• Growth in the production of large and medium manufacturing industries in quarter IV-2019 (q-to-q) at the provincial level that experienced the highest growth was East Nusa Tenggara Province, which rose 27.83 percent. While the province that experienced a decline in growth was the Papua Province, which fell 24.60 percent.
