Production Growth of Manufacturing Industry Quarter III 2019 Increases by 4.35 Percent

Abstract

Growth in the production of large and medium manufacturing industries in the third quarter of 2019 increased by 4.35 percent (y-on-y) to the third quarter of 2018. The increase was mainly due to an increase in the production of the printing and reproducing recording media industry, which rose by 19.59 percent. While the industry that experienced the biggest production decline was the metal goods industry, not its machinery and equipment, which fell by 22.95 percent.
Growth in the production of large and medium manufacturing industries in the third quarter of 2019 increased by 5.13 percent (q-to-q) against the second quarter of 2019. The industry that experienced the highest increase in production was the non-metal excavated goods industry, which rose 14.15 percent. While the industry that experienced the biggest decline was the tobacco processing industry, which fell by 13.00 percent.
Growth in the production of large and medium manufacturing industries in the third quarter of 2019 (y-on-y) at the provincial level that experienced the highest growth was Southeast Sulawesi, which rose by 23.56 percent. While the province that experienced a decline in growth was Jambi, which fell 47.20 percent.
Growth in the production of large and medium manufacturing industries in quarter III-2019 (q-to-q) at the provincial level that experienced the highest growth was Bengkulu Province, which rose 29.29 percent. While the province that experienced a decline in growth was the West Nusa Tenggara Province, which fell 45.58 percent.
