Abstract

Export :
  • The value of Indonesian exports in September 2019 reached US$ 14.10 billion, down 1.29 percent compared to exports in August 2019. Likewise if compared to September 2018 it decreased 5.74 percent.
  • September 2019 non-oil / gas exports reached US$ 13.27 billion, down 1.03 percent compared to August 2019. Likewise compared to September 2018 non-oil / gas exports, down 2.70 percent.
  • Cumulatively, the value of Indonesian exports from January to September 2019 reached US$ 124.17 billion or decreased by 8.00 percent compared to the same period in 2018, as well as non-oil / gas exports reached US$ 114.75 billion, down 6.22 percent. 
  • The biggest decline in non-oil / gas exports in September 2019 against August 2019 occurred in jewelry / gems amounting to US$ 272.4 million (32.60 percent), while the largest increase occurred in ore, crust and graymetal of US$ 267.0 million (193.08 percent).
  • According to the sector, non-oil / gas exports from processing industries from January to September 2019 fell 3.89 percent compared to the same period in 2018, as well as mining and other exports fell 17.41 percent while agricultural products exports increase 2.88 percent.
  • The largest non-oil / gas exports in September 2019 was to Tiongkok, which was US$ 2.41 billion, followed by the United States US$ 1.48 billion and Japan US$ 1.14 billion, with the contribution of the three reaching 37.90 percent. While exports to the European Union (28 countries) amounted to US$ 1.09 billion.
  • According to the province of origin, Indonesia's largest exports in January-September 2019 came from West Java with a value of US$ 22.66 billion (18.25 percent), followed by East Java US$ 14.03 billion (11.30 percent) and Kalimantan East US$ 12.37 billion (9.96 percent).

  • The value of Indonesian imports in September 2019 reached US$ 14.26 billion, increase 0.63 percent compared to imports in August 2019. Likewise if compared to September 2018 it decreased 2.41 percent.
  • September 2019 non-oil / gas imports reached US$ 12.67 billion, increase 1.02 percent compared to August 2019. Likewise compared to September 2018 non-oil / gas imports, increase 2.82 percent.
  • September 2019 oil / gas imports reached US$ 1.59 billion or down 2.36 percent compared to August 2019, down 30.50 percent compared to September 2018.
  • The biggest enhancement in non-oil / gas imports in September 2019 against August 2019 occurred in cereals category amounting to US$ 125.5 million (67.58 percent), while the largest decline occured in sugars category of 66.0 million (37.04 percent).
  • The largest non-oil / gas imports during January-September 2019 was to Tiongkok, which was US$ 32.35 billion (29.34 percent), followed by the Japan US$ 11.82 billion (10.72 percent) and Thailand US$ 7.06 billion (6.41 percent). Non-oil/gas imports from ASEAN reached 19.66 percent, while imports from the European Union reached 8.44 percent.
  • The value of Indonesian imports of all used goods category during January-September 2019 such as consumption goods decreased 8.77 percent, raw/auxiliary materials decreased 10.22 percent and capital goods decreased 4.13 percent.
