Abstract

The number of foreign tourist arrivals or tourists to Indonesia in August 2019 increased 2.94 percent compared to the number of visits in August 2018. Likewise, when compared to July 2019, the number of foreign tourists visiting in August 2019 increased by 4.83 percent. < / li>
Cumulatively (January-August 2019), the number of foreign tourists visiting Indonesia reached 10.87 million visits, an increase of 2.67 percent compared to the number of foreign tourists visiting the same period in 2018 which amounted to 10.58 million visits.
Room Occupancy Rate (TPK) of star classification hotels in Indonesia in August 2019 reached an average of 54.14 percent or down 5.87 points compared to the ROR of August 2018 which was recorded at 60.01 percent. Likewise, when compared to the TPK in July 2019, the TPK of star classification hotels in August 2019 decreased by 2.59 points.
The average length of stay of foreign and Indonesian guests at star classification hotels during August 2019 was recorded at 1.84 days, a decrease of 0.10 points when compared to the situation in August 2018.
