Abstract

In August 2019, the Non-Oil General Oil and Gas Wholesale Price Index (IHPB) or the wholesale / agent price index rose by 0.14 percent from the previous month. The highest increase in IHPB occurred in the Non-Oil and Gas Exported Goods Group by 0.54 percent.
Some commodities that experienced price increases in August 2019 include red chillies, cayenne peppers, palm oil, cattle, goats and sheep, as well as export animal / vegetable fats and oils.
Building Material / Construction IHPB in August 2019 increased by 0.08 percent compared to the previous month, partly due to the increase in commodity prices for landfill, brick making, roof tiles and other roofing, gravel and natural sirtu, and cement.
General PPI decreased 0.09 percent in July 2019 against the previous month. The Imported Goods Group was the dominant contributor to the decline in the PPI, which was negative 0.11 percent.
Imports of the Imported Goods Group in July 2019 decreased by 0.68 percent and the Exported Goods Group increased by 0.02 percent compared to the previous month.
