Abstract

The number of foreign tourist arrivals or tourists to Indonesia in June 2019 increased by 9.94 percent compared to the number of visits in June 2018. Similarly, when compared to May 2019, the number of foreign tourists visiting in June 2019 increased by 15.48 percent.
Cumulatively (January – June 2019), the number of foreign tourist visits to Indonesia reached 7.83 million visits, up 4.01 percent compared to the number of foreign tourists visiting the same period in 2018 which amounted to 7.53 million visits.
The Hotel Occupancy Rate (TPK) of star classification in Indonesia in June 2019 reached an average of 52.27 percent or an increase of 0.23 points compared to June 2018 TPK which was recorded at 52.04 percent. Likewise, if compared to the May 2019 TPK, the hotel TPK star classification in June 2019 increased by 8.74 points.
The average length of stay of foreign and Indonesian guests in hotels star classification during June 2019 was 1.77 days, a decrease of 0.08 points compared to the conditions in June 2018.
