Abstract

  • The nominal wage of the worker / worker is the average daily wage received by the worker as a reward for the work done.
  • The real wages of workers / workers illustrate the purchasing power of income / wages received by workers / workers.
  • The real wage of farm laborers is the ratio between the nominal wage of farm workers and the rural household consumption index, while the real wage of construction workers is the ratio of nominal construction labor wages to the urban consumer price index.
  • The daily nominal wage of national farm laborers in May 2019 increased by 0.19 percent compared to April 2019 farm laborers' wages, namely from Rp53,952.00 to Rp54,056.00 per day. Real wages decreased by 0.39 percent.
  • The daily nominal wages of construction workers (artisans not foremen) in May 2019 did not change (0.00 percent) compared to April 2019 wages, which was Rp88,664.00 per day. Real wages decreased by 0.68 percent.
