The number of foreign tourists visiting Indonesia in April 2019 reached 1.30 million visits

Abstract

The number of foreign tourist arrivals or foreign tourists to Indonesia in April 2019 increased by 0.11 percent compared to the number of visits in April 2018. Meanwhile, compared to March 2019, the number of foreign tourists visiting in April 2019 decreased by 2.74 percent.

Cumulatively (January – April 2019), the number of foreign tourists visiting Indonesia reached 5.12 million visits, up 3.22 percent compared to the number of foreign tourists visiting the same period in 2018 which amounted to 4.96 million visits.

The Hotel Occupancy Rate (TPK) of star classification in Indonesia in April 2019 reached an average of 53.90 percent, down 3.53 points compared to the April 2018 TPK which was recorded at 57.43 percent. Meanwhile, if compared to the March 2019 TPK, the hotel TPK star rating in April 2019 increased by 1.02 points.

The average length of stay of foreign and Indonesian guests in star rating hotels during April 2019 was recorded at 1.83 days, an increase of 0.02 points compared to the situation in April 2018.
