The number of foreign tourists visiting Indonesia in March reached 1.34 million visits

Abstract

The number of foreign tourist arrivals or tourists to Indonesia in March 2019 has decreased 1.82 percent compared to the number of visits in March 2018, namely from 1.36 million visits to 1.34 million visits. Meanwhile, compared to February 2019, the number of foreign tourists visiting in March 2019 increased by 5.90 percent.
Cumulatively (January – March 2019), the number of foreign tourist visits to Indonesia reached 3.82 million visits, up 4.28 percent compared to the number of foreign tourists visiting in the same period in 2018 which amounted to 3.66 million visits.
The Hotel Occupancy Rate (TPK) of star classification in Indonesia in March 2019 reached an average of 52.89 percent, down 4.21 points compared to March 2018 TPK which was recorded at 57.10 percent. Meanwhile, compared to February 2019 TPK, the hotel TPK star rating in March 2019 increased by 0.45 points.
The average length of stay of foreign and Indonesian guests in star rating hotels during March 2019 was 1.81 days, a decrease of 0.14 points compared to March 2018.
