Abstract

  • The percentage of poor people in September 2018 of 9.66 percent decreased 0.16 percentage points compared to March 2018 and decreased 0.46 percentage points compared to September 2017.
  • The percentage of poor people in urban areas in March 2018 was 7.02 percent, decreased to 6.89 percent in September 2018. While the percentage of poor people in rural areas in March 2018 was 13.20 percent, decreased to 13.10 percent in September 2018 .
  • Compared to March 2018 the number of poor people in September 2018 in urban areas fell by 13.1 thousand people (from 10.14 million people in March 2018 to 10.13 million people in September 2018). Meanwhile, rural areas fell by 262.1 thousand people (from 15.81 million people in March 2018 to 15.54 million people in September 2018).
  • The Poverty Line in September 2018 was recorded at Rp 410,670, - / capita / month with the composition of the Food Poverty Line amounting to Rp 302,022 (73.54 percent) and the Non-Food Poverty Line Rp 108,648 (26.46 percent).
  • In September 2018, on average, poor households in Indonesia have 4.63 household members. Thus the average poverty line per poor household is Rp. 1,901,402, - / poor households / month.
