Abstract

The number of foreign tourist arrivals or foreign tourists to Indonesia in June 2018 increased by 15.21 percent compared to the number of visits in June 2017, from 1.14 million visits to 1.32 million visits. Similarly, when compared to May 2018, the number of visits by foreign tourists in June 2018 increased 6.07 percent.
Cumulatively (January-June 2018), the number of foreign tourists visiting Indonesia reached 7.53 million visits or an increase of 13.08 percent compared with the number of foreign tourists visiting in the same period of 2017 which amounted to 6.66 million visits.
The classification rate of star hotels in Indonesia in June 2018 reached an average of 52.04 percent or an increase of 1.02 points compared to the June 1st of June, which stood at 51.02 percent. Meanwhile, if compared to the TPK in May 2018, the ROR for star classification hotel in June 2018 decreased by 1.82 points.
The average length of stay of foreign and Indonesian guests in the hotel classification of stars during June 2018 was recorded at 1.85 days, a decrease of 0.07 points compared to June 2017.
