Abstract

The number of foreign tourist arrivals or foreign tourists to Indonesia April 2018 rose 11.04 percent compared to the number of visits in April 2017, ie from 1.17 million visits to 1.30 million visits. Meanwhile, when compared to March 2018, the number of visits by foreign tourists in April 2018 decreased by 4.59 percent.
Cumulatively (January-April 2018), the number of visits by foreign tourists to Indonesia reached 4.97 million visits or an increase of 13.83 percent compared with the number of visits by foreign tourists in the same period of 2017 which amounted to 4.36 million visits.
Room Occupancy Rate (ROR) of star classification hotels in Indonesia in April 2018 reached an average of 57.43 percent or an increase of 2.29 points compared to the ROR of April 2017 which stood at 55.14 percent. Likewise, if compared to the ROR of March 2018, the ROR for star classification hotel in March 2018 increased by 0.33 points.
The average length of stay of foreign guests and Indonesians in star classification hotels during April 2018 was recorded at 1.81 days, a decrease of 0.03 points compared to April 2017.
