Abstract

Growth of large and medium manufacturing industries in 2017 rose by 4.74 percent by 2016. The increase was mainly due to rising production of the food industry, up 9.93 percent. Meanwhile, the industry that experienced the biggest decline in production was Other manufacturing industry, down 4.51 percent.

Production growth of large and medium manufacturing industries in Q4 / 2017 increased by 5.15 percent (y-on-y) against the fourth quarter of 2016. The increase was mainly due to the rise of food industry production, up 15.28 percent. Meanwhile, the industries that experienced the biggest decline in production were chemicals and chemicals, down 12.02 percent.

Production growth of large and medium manufacturing industry in Q4 / 2017 decreased by 0.59 percent (q-to-q) on the third quarter of 2017. The industries that experienced the highest increase in production were timber, wood and cork (excluding furniture) and woven goods from bamboo, rattan and the like, rose 8.71 percent. The industries that experienced the biggest decline were chemical and chemical goods industry, down 14.85 percent.

The production growth of large and medium manufacturing industry in the fourth quarter of 2017 (y-on-y) at the provincial level with the highest growth was D.K.I Jakarta, up 16.00 percent. While the province that experienced a decline in growth is Jambi Province, down 6.54 percent.

The production growth of large and medium manufacturing industry in Q4 / 2017 (q-to-q) in the provinces that experienced the highest growth was Southeast Sulawesi Province, up 10.22 percent. While the province that experienced a decline in growth is the Province of South Sumatra, down 15.93 percent.

The growth of micro and small manufacturing industries in 2017 increased by 4.74 percent from 2016. The increase was mainly due to the increase of computer production, electronics and optical goods, up 35.25 percent. Meanwhile, the industry which experienced the biggest decline in production was the tobacco processing industry, down 20.45 percent.

Production growth of micro and small manufacturing industries in quarter IV-2017 increased by 4.59 percent (y-on-y) against the fourth quarter-2016. The increase was mainly due to the rise in basic metal industry production, up 36.19 percent. Meanwhile, the industry which experienced the biggest decline in production was the tobacco processing industry, down 44.51 percent.
 
Production growth of micro and small manufacturing industries in the fourth quarter of 2017 decreased by 0.21 percent (q-to-q) from Q3 / 2017. The industry that experienced the highest increase in production was the base metal industry, up 20.25 percent. The industry that experienced the biggest decline was the tobacco processing industry, down 48.77 percent.

Production growth of micro and small manufacturing industry in quarter IV-2017 (y-on-y) at provincial level with highest growth was East Kalimantan Province, up 37.69 percent. While the province that experienced a decline in growth is the province of Bali, down 3.86 percent.

Production growth of micro and small manufacturing industry in quarter IV-2017 (q-to-q) at provincial level with highest growth was East Kalimantan Province, up by 39.54 percent. While the province experiencing a decline in growth is the province of West Papua, down 14.82 percent.
