Abstract

The number of tourist arrivals (tourists) to Indonesia in August 2015 reached 850.5 thousand visits, increase 2.87 percent compared to the number of foreign tourists in August 2014 that there were 826.8 thousand visits. Similarly, when compared with July 2015, the number of foreign tourists in August 2015 increase 4.46 percent.
The number of foreign tourists visiting through Ngurah Rai Airport, Bali in August 2015 decrease 11.29 percent compared to August 2014, from 336.6 thousand visits became 298.6 thousand visits. Meanwhile, when compared to July 2015, the number of foreign tourists visiting through Ngurah Rai Airport, Bali decrease 21.80 percent.
The cumulative (January to August) 2015, the number of foreign tourists reached 6.32 million visits, up 2.71 percent compared to foreign tourists visiting the same period the previous year, amounting to 6.16 million visits.
Room Occupancy Rate (TPK) star in 27 provinces in August 2015 reached an average of 55.61 percent, increase 3.59 points compared to August 2014 Room Occupancy Rate was recorded at 52.02 percent. If compared to Room Occupancy Rate July 2015, Room Occupancy Rate star hotel in August 2015 increase 4.36 points.
The average length of stay of foreign guests and Indonesian in star hotels in 27 provinces during August 2015 stood at 1.93 days, an decrease of 0.08 points, when compared to the state in August 2014.
