Abstract

The July 2006 Consumer Price Index (CPI) was 141.42, or inflated 0.45% from the previous month. All indices of expenditure groups increased, the foodstuff which changed from 133.08 to 134.40 or 0.99% inflation; prepared food, beverages, cigarette and tobacco index increased from 135.78 to 136.20 or 0.31% inflation; housing, water, electric, gas and fuel increased from 145.30 to 145.60 or 0.21% inflation; clothing from 126.44 to 126.89 or 0.36% inflation; health from 123.96 to 124.04 or 0.06% inflation; education, recreation and sport 137.20 to 138.15 or inflated 0.69%; transport, communication and financial services from 166.35 to 166.48 or 0.08% inflation.
