Abstract

The Indonesian Quarterly GDP in Quarter I 2003 experienced an increase of 2.04 per cent over the Quarter IV 2002. This positive growth was especially experienced in Agriculture, Trade, Transportation, Finance and Services sectors.
The highest growth reached in Agriculture sector as high as 15.56 per cent, while the growth rate reached by other sectors was less then 1 per cent. The growth in agriculture was mainly caused by the harvest season in quarter I. Compared to the figure in Quarter I 2002 (Year on Year), the Indonesian GDP Quarter I 2003 rose as high as 3.43 per cent.
