Secure Data, Trusted Census: BPS Partners with BSSN, Peruri, and Telkom for SE2026

July 1, 2026 | Other Activities

Digital transformation not only presents significant opportunities in the administration of national statistics but also brings increasingly complex challenges. Managing data on a massive scale requires reliable information technology systems, robust communication networks, and cybersecurity measures capable of safeguarding data confidentiality and integrity from various potential threats.

To address these challenges, Statistics Indonesia (BPS) continues to strengthen its collaboration with the National Cyber and Crypto Agency (BSSN), Perum Peruri, and PT Telkom Indonesia. This synergy serves as a strategic step in building a secure, reliable, and sustainable digital ecosystem to support all stages of the 2026 Economic Census (SE2026) implementation across Indonesia. This support encompasses strengthening cybersecurity, ensuring the reliability of digital infrastructure, and protecting data security.

The Chief Statistician of BPS RI, Amalia Adininggar Widyasanti, emphasized, "The 2026 Economic Census (SE2026) does not solely rely on a robust and accurate methodology, but it also needs to enhance data trust and security. The massive volume of incoming data must be protected from various cyber threats, supported by network security and highly reliable IT systems. Therefore, collaboration with BSSN, Perum Peruri, and PT Telkom is vital to ensure that the data collection process runs smoothly."

This collaboration not only strengthens the readiness for the SE2026 implementation but also stands as a testament to BPS's commitment to guaranteeing the confidentiality and security of public data.
