BPS Receives Award at the Archival Awards 2026

June 30, 2026 | Other Activities

BPS (Statistics Indonesia) has once again made an outstanding achievement in administrative and archival management at the national level by winning two prestigious awards from the National Archives of the Republic of Indonesia (ANRI) during the 2026 National Coordination Meeting on Archiving and the Archival Awards. The award ceremony took place at the ANRI Building in Jakarta on Wednesday (20/5) and was attended in person by the Principal Secretary of BPS, Zulkifli. On this occasion, BPS successfully earned recognition as the National Best Network Node and was designated as a Cluster I Ministry/Agency with an "AA" or "Very Satisfactory" category.

This achievement represents a tangible manifestation of BPS's commitment to managing archives in a professional, adaptive, and sustainable manner to support accountable public governance. The success of BPS in attaining the "Very Satisfactory" category and being named the Best Network Node proves that the implementation of the archival information system within BPS has been running optimally and is exceptionally well-integrated.

The National Coordination Meeting and the Archival Awards event are part of the momentum commemorating the 55th National Archives Day in 2026. This year, the theme adopted by ANRI is "Empowering the Future: Archiving to Empower the Future Towards Golden Indonesia 2045." This theme reflects the vision that archiving is no longer viewed merely as an administrative task, but rather as a strategic national instrument for strengthening public accountability and safeguarding the national collective memory.

In his official remarks, the Head of ANRI, Mego Pinandito, stated that archives are not simply records of the past, but highly fundamental national resources or strategic assets essential for guiding and empowering the nation's future. Archives serve as guardians of collective memory, ensuring the validity of data and information, the continuity of values, and the accountability of state administration.

For BPS, well-managed archival governance is the absolute foundation of its performance track record. As the primary provider of statistical data, authentic and reliable archiving serves as a vital supporting pillar in maintaining the validity of information.
