BPS-OJK-LPS: Strengthen the National Survey of Financial Literacy and Inclusion
January 8, 2026 | BPS Activities
The National Survey of Financial Literacy and Inclusion (SNLIK) has been conducted by BPS in collaboration with the Indonesia Financial Services Authority (OJK) since 2024 to produce a national financial literacy and inclusion index with a sample size of 10,800.
In 2026, BPS and OJK collaborated with the Deposit Insurance Corporation (LPS) to implement SNLIK at the provincial estimation level. The number of samples increased to 75,000 household samples.
With a larger sample size for SNLIK 2026, it will provide a more useful financial literacy and inclusion index for policy, planning, and financial education in each region to be more targeted. SNLIK 2026 is also further strengthened by the participation of the Indonesia Deposit Insurance Corporation (LPS) in the collaboration to conduct this survey.
To marks the collaboration, the Chief Statistician of Statistics Indonesia (BPS) RI, Amalia Adininggar Widyasanti, signed a Memorandum of Understanding between BPS and LPS regarding the Synergy of the Implementation of the Functions, Duties, and Authorities of both institutions. BPS also signed a Cooperation Agreement between BPS, LPS, and OJK to strengthen SNLIK at the Polstat STIS Auditorium (17/12). Present at the occasion were Anggito Abimanyu, the Chairman of the LPS Board of Commissioners, and Friderica Widyasari Dewi, the Chief Executive of Financial Services Business Conduct Supervision, Education, and Consumer Protection at OJK. At the same time, a cooperation agreement was also signed between the Provincial BPS, OJK, and LPS for SNLIK 2026 activities.
