BPS Commemorates Indonesia’s 80th Independence Day

Statistics Indonesia (BPS) commemorated the 80th Anniversary of Indonesia’s Independence with a solemn flag-raising ceremony at its BPS headquarter on August 17, 2025. The celebration was made even more vibrant as employees wore traditional attire from various regions, creating a colorful atmosphere that reflected the nation’s rich diversity.

Carrying the theme “United, Sovereign, Prosperous People, Advanced Indonesia,” this year’s commemoration served as a reminder of the importance of safeguarding unity in diversity to achieve national sovereignty. “Statistics are more than just numbers. Data produced by BPS delivers a tremendous impact for both the government and society,” said BPS Chief Statistician Amalia Adininggar Widyasanti.
