February 20, 2025 | Other Activities
Statistics Indonesia (BPS) took part in a hearing with Commission X of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI) to discuss budget efficiency for the 2025 fiscal year. The session, held on February 13, also included the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) and the National Library of Indonesia (Perpusnas RI).
Chaired by Deputy Chair of Commission X Esti Wijayanti, the meeting focused on optimizing ministerial and institutional expenditures without compromising the quality of public services and priority programs. “BPS, BRIN, and Perpusnas must ensure that their budgets are used efficiently while maintaining high service standards and delivering key initiatives,” she emphasized.
Acting Chief Statistician of BPS, Amalia Adininggar Widyasanti, reaffirmed the agency’s commitment to prudent financial management. She outlined key priorities for 2025, including preparations for the 2026 Economic Census, the Intercensal Population Survey, and regular surveys such as the National Socioeconomic Survey (Susenas). While efficiency measures are in place, she assured that BPS remains focused on its core responsibilities—producing reliable statistical data, ensuring staff welfare, and maintaining essential operations.
