The BPS-Statistics Indonesia has once again been awarded an Unqualified Opinion (WTP)

JAKARTA, 16 July 2024 – The BPS-Statistics Indonesia has once again been awarded an Unqualified Opinion (WTP) by the Audit Board of Indonesia (BPK) for its 2023 financial report. This accolade, the 11th since 2012, underscores BPS's consistent commitment to maintaining financial accuracy and transparency.
"The BPK appreciates all the efforts made by the Acting Chief Statistician of BPS and her team for the fairness of the 2023 financial report," said Daniel Lumban Tobing, Member II of the BPK, at the BPS headquarters. The official audit report was handed over in a ceremony attended by senior BPS officials and the BPK audit team.
The audit, conducted in accordance with Law No. 15 of 2004 and Law No. 15 of 2006, aims to ensure the fairness of government financial statements. "In addition to the audit, BPK also monitors the follow-up on the recommendations provided," Tobing added.
Amalia Adininggar Widyasanti, Acting Chief Statistician of BPS, expressed her gratitude for the continued recognition. "We are committed to maintaining this Unqualified Opinion. The recommendations provided will be important notes for us," she said.
Widyasanti outlined BPS's strategy to retain the WTP opinion for the 2024 financial report, which includes accelerating follow-up actions, ensuring comprehensive and well-documented financial and asset accountability, enhancing governance, adhering to regulations, and strengthening communication, collaboration, and coordination.
