In his remarks, Kecuk Suhariyanto explained the stages of the implementation of SP2020, the objectives, methodologies, business processes, and the importance of the SP2020. Kecuk also requested support from all parties to make the event a ten-year success. "Help us disseminate this SP2020 information as well as educate the public about the importance of participation in the implementation of SP2020, because the census does not only belong to BPS but belongs to all of us Indonesians," Kecuk said.

Furthermore, Muhadjir Effendi in his keynote speech asked all staff to participate seriously in socializing SP2020. "If there is a need for an official circulation from each ministry, agency and agency, especially those with vertical structural organizations," he said. Muhadjir also said that the accuracy of the data collected will determine the validity, validity and quality of the data that will be used in making policy.

On this occasion also signed a Memorandum of Understanding between BPS and PMK, ORI, PT Pos Indonesia (Pesero), PT Pegadaian (Pesero), and the Indonesian Confucian High Council. All of that is in the framework of collaboration and coordination in the success of SP2020. In addition, 36 ministries / institutions / agencies / state-owned / public organizations signed a commitment to support the implementation of SP2020.

The day before, in the Rakukas Dukcapil II, at the Ancol Discovery Hotel, Jakarta, a memorandum of understanding and data handover was signed between the Directorate General of Dukcapil Ministry of Home Affairs and BPS. In the memorandum of understanding it was explained that SP2020 would use Dukcapil's population data as a baseline.

"I, who initially did not interfere, was also proud when I was visited by the Head of BPS who said that SP2020 would use Dukcapil data," said the Minister of Home Affairs, Prof. Tito Karnavian in his remarks.
