Bimtek SAIBA and SIMAK-BMN 2018: Towards Accountability

October 15, 2018 | Other Activities

Yogya - "As we know, some time ago the 2017 BPS financial report obtained Unqualified Opinion (WTP, red) according to the results of the examination conducted by the BPK. This result is our capital to propose an increase in TK (Performance Allowance, red). This effort has been going on for a long time and the process is nearing its end, "said BPS Chief Secretary Adi Lumaksono when opening the Bimtek Accrual-Based Agency Accounting System (SAIBA) and the State Property Management and Accounting Information System (SIMAK-BMN) in 2018 (8 / 10) at Alana Hotel Yogyakarta.

The opening ceremony was attended by the Head of the DI Yogyakarta Provincial BPS, J.B Priyono and 116 participants who were SAIBA and SIMAK-BMN operators from BPS, provincial BPS, BPS Training Center, and STIS Statistics Polytechnic. While special sources were brought in from the Directorate General of Treasury and the Directorate General of State Assets of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia.

Furthermore, Adi hopes that the mission of maintaining the WTP opinion is not only limited to speech, but it becomes a common strategy for us. On this basis, we hold this activity as one of the efforts to improve and improve the quality of BPS financial reports.

In addition to maintaining the WTP opinion, in his report, BPS Finance Bureau Chief Herum Fajarwati also explained some of the purposes of this activity. Among them is to get a uniform understanding of the concept and implementation of the preparation of financial reports and BMN BPS management at the level of work units, regions, and agencies; make adjustments between asset data in the balance sheet (SAIBA) and BMN position reports on the balance sheet (SIMAK-BMN); and evaluate financial reporting for the first semester of 2018.
