The medicines maker can be households, someone, herbal medicine companies, pharmaceutical manufacturers, and others. Traditional medicines manufactured pharmaceutical or herbal medicine company has a registration number in the Ministry of Health with initial code TR (traditional), eg on various brands of domestically-made herbal medicine, TRI (various brands of imported traditional medicines), TRL (various brands outside of traditional medicine who obtain a license) .

Outpatient is an activity or effort of household member that has a health complaint to consult and get treatment by visiting the places of modern or traditional health services without a stay, including health workers bring to the house.

Not included in the outpatient is consultations, medical examinations (check-ups), medical exam (eg for driver licences, hiring, promotion), screening (health check to find the disease early as possible, eg: Pap Smear Test for cervical cancer, Mantoux test to screen for tuberculosis in infants), normal pregnancy examination, and immunization, as this is a prevention effort.

Inpatient is a healing effort by staying 1 night or more in a modern health service units or traditional, are included in this event was inpatient for childbirth.

Sampling frame used in 2009 susenas consisted of 3 types, namely: the sample frame for the selection of census block, the sample frame for the selection of census subblok (especially for census block households more than 150 households), and a sample frame for the household selection in census block / subblok selected census.

Sampling frame of census block is ordinary census block result Economic Census 2006 (BS Frame SE06) equipped with number of household from Voter Registration and Data Collection on Sustainable Population (P4B). Census block sample frame includes census blocks in 471 districts / cities and are distinguished according to urban and rural areas. Implementation in July 2009 SUSENAS covered 18 243 census block or 291 888 sample households spread across geographic regions of Indonesia.

Household sample frame is a list of household from the household registration that uses VSEN2009.L . Sample frame of households are distinguished according to three groups of household monthly expenditure class.

SUSENAS 2008

Sampling frame used in 2008 susenas consisted of 3 types, namely: the sample frame for the selection of census block, the sample frame for the selection of census subblok (especially for census block households more than 150 households), and a sample frame for the household selection in census block / subblok selected census.

Sampling frame of census block is ordinary census block result Economic Census 2006 (BS Frame SE06) equipped with number of household from Voter Registration and Data Collection on Sustainable Population (P4B). Census block sample frame includes census blocks in 457 districts / cities and are distinguished according to urban and rural areas.

Household sample frame Susenas 2008 is a list of household from the household registration that uses VSEN2008.L. Sample frame of households are distinguished according to three groups of household monthly expenditure class.

SUSENAS 2008 included as many as 17,869 census blocks that spread throughout the district/cities. At each census block would be enumerated as many as 16 households, so that in July 2008 SUSENAS will count as many as 285 904 sample households.

SUSENAS 2007

The 2007 Susenas include as many as 285 904 sample households spread across all districts / cities in Indonesia, with details of 68 800 sample households Cor Module and 217 104 households without Cor Module.

SUSENAS 2006

The 2006 susenas census block sample frame is a list of regular census enumeration block P4B (state of April 2003) which is equipped with a number of household . Census block sample frame includes census blocks in 440 districts / cities and differentiated by urban and rural areas.

The 2006 Susenas includes as many as 278,352 households are spread across the districts / cities in Indonesia, with details of 68,800 sample households Cor-Module and 209 552 households without Module Cor.

SUSENAS 2005

The 2005 susenas census block sample frame is a list of regular census enumeration block P4B (state of April 2003) which is equipped with a number of household enumeration. Census block sample frame includes census blocks in 440 districts / cities and differentiated by urban and rural areas.

Susenas 2005 includes as many as 278,352 households are spread across the districts / cities in Indonesia, with details of 68,288 sample households Cor-Module and 210 064 households without Cor Module.

SUSENAS 2004

Sample size The 2004 Susenas is 249,376 households spread in both urban and rural areas, with details of 67,072 households to sample Cor Module as and 182,304 households to sample Cor (without modules).

Due to budget constraints, the number of districts covered by the 2004 susenas as many as 377 districts, has not included the total number of districts as many as 416 districts.
